AEGIS is a lightweight spinning rod equipped with the latest technology. Evolution never stops.
Mag-Shield: Daiwa's unique waterproof construction shuts out water and dust by creating a wall of magnetic oil between the body and rotor. Because there is no contact between the body and rotor, the light and smooth rotation is maintained, and the initial rotation performance is maintained for a long period of time. Water and impurities often cause rotating noises. With the exception of cases where the reel has been accidentally dropped into water, the rate of rotational noise has been greatly reduced for reels that have been mag-shielded. Moreover, the longer the reels are used, the more significant the difference becomes. This means that the longer the reel is used, the more its effectiveness is demonstrated. In other words, this is proof that Magshield's dustproof and waterproof capabilities are at an extremely high level.
ATD: A new-generation drag system that smoothly follows the pull of the fish while continuing to work. The drag system is smoother than conventional systems, so it is less likely to cause line breakage, and it is less likely to cause fish to act unnecessarily because it is less likely to give fish a sense of discomfort.
Adaptable to ultra-thin fluorocarbon fluorine lures often used on tough lakes, this system prevents line breakage, enabling anglers to feel secure in their interactions with the lure.
Air rotor: The air rotor has a structure that can be called a rotor revolution. By distributing the load through an optimized rim structure with a unique shape, a significant weight reduction is achieved with the same strength as conventional rotors. Rotor balance has also been improved, resulting in more responsive rotation.
ZAION body: A carbon resin with densely woven carbon fibers, this material has achieved the impossible by surpassing magnesium in strength to weight ratio. It is used in the main components of reels because of its ideal characteristics of being highly rigid, lightweight, and, unlike metal, resistant to corrosion.
Thin-walled aluminum spool: The thin aluminum spool is machined to the utmost limit in order to make the spool as light as possible, even by one gram.
Line capacity is set to allow the reel to reel 80m of Steed Fluoro-Type-Finesse.
Aluminum machine-cut handle: Highly rigid machine-cut handle for stable reeling.
Machine-cut digi-gears:
Daiwa's proprietary digital design technology and high-precision machine-cut duralumin forged machine-cut digi-gears produce a smooth and powerful retrieve fee
